Herzing's Brookfield, Wisconsin campus is  looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate Nurse who wants to turn our students' passions into rewarding careers.  We are currently looking for one full-time Faculty member to teach in our Bachelor's of Science in Nursing program. You, better than most, understand how complex the Nursing profession is, and how it regularly evolves and grows. This position will provide you with the opportunity to bridge the gap between the theory and practice, as you engage our students with:
  • intimate class sizes
  • labs and simulation environments
  • practical clinical experience
How do I know if I am qualified for this position? All qualified applicants will be prepared to demonstrate the following: 
  • Currently or will to live in or within commuting distance of Southeastern Wisconsin (Brookfield, where the campus is located, is a western suburb of Milwaukee).
  • You hold an unencumbered license in the state of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse.
  • A Master’s in Nursing.
  • Some experience in the ICU or ER, geriatrics, med. surgery, or a related area of Nursing.
  • You must be able to meet the mental and physical requirements in the classroom, labs, and clinical sites (see the physical requirements summarized below).
       
  • While not technically a requirement of the job, some teaching experience will of course be helpful too.

Physical Requirements In addition to teaching in the classroom, developing relationships with our clinical partner sites in the Southeaster Wisconsin area, and meeting with students during office hours, this position also has a clinical component. When applying to this job, you are confirming that you are able to do the following, both in the classroom and at our clinical sites:
  • Consistently communicate using the spoken word with students, staff and colleagues.
  • Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
  • Operate equipment specific to programmatic track, personal computer, audio-visual equipment, clinical equipment, etc.
  • In addition to the above requirements, for programs that include a clinical component, all faculty must be able to:
  • Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects.
  • Ability to see and hear within normal parameters.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds.
