Position Description:
Develop comprehensive knowledge of all production equipment functionality.
Understanding of the process flow to convert raw materials into packaged food. This equipment and process knowledge enable an ET to troubleshoot abnormalities quickly and identify and execute corrective action.
Exhibits electrical and basic mechanical skills necessary to complete job assignments or repair equipment during unplanned downtime.
Performs routine preventive maintenance on all equipment.
Makes repairs to all equipment, utilities, infrastructure, buildings and grounds. This includes, but is not limited to, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics.
Reads and understands equipment manuals.
Reads and understands daily work orders.
Operates various equipment such as; scissor lifts, boom lifts, fork truck, walkie stackers, electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, single person lift, rigging, electric hoist in a safe manner.
Comprehension of electrical measurement devices; digital multi-meter, analog meter, current clamp, megohmmeter, electrical tracing equipment, IR camera, calibration meter, etc.
Understanding of AC/DC drives, Variable Frequency Drives.
Comprehension of Programmable Logic Controllers, and platforms; CompactLogix, ControlLogix, MicroLogic, SLC, etc.
Knowledge of solid state devices.

•*Willingness and ability to work on weekends (potentially consecutively), holidays, variable shifts (for example, lengths or days), and mandatory overtime with or without accommodation.

Job Requirements

Experience Required:
Five or more years working as an electrical technician, experience in a food manufacturing plant, experience in a lean manufacturing environment, four-year apprenticeship, an electrician Journeyman’s Card, or 2-year degree in a technical field.

Education Required:
Be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and be legally able to work in the United States. Minimum Qualifications: Work Experience or training as an advanced electrical technicianTwo or more years working as an electrical technician or advanced technician in manufacturing
