Job Description:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major automotive company to place a Stamping Maintenance Supervisor. This position will involve supervising a medium size group of employees in a skilled area involving the building and maintenance of equipment, tools and dies including the set-ups and/or grinding of tools. Work is of a technical nature which involves the ability to make decisions within the limits of general procedures and specifications with supervisor available to handle unusual situations.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
-- Implements the planning and scheduling for building and repair of equipment, tools and dies.
-- Meets necessary delivery and cost goals.
-- Analyzes tooling, equipment and die problems: selects proper steps for solution.
-- Frequent contact with others outside the work group.
-- Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements.
-- Generate technical reports, management reports and correspondence
-- Prepare appropriate requests, provide estimates, control project funds and provide economic assessments and recommendations
-- Monitor and evaluate project progress to schedule. Provide any required corrective action.
-- Provide technical assistance to plant staffs
-- Coordinate project activities with Tooling Engineers, Tooling Integrators, plant personnel, Conveyor Engineers, Facilities Engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, etc.
-- Ensure that all contract changes are documented and that the proper change control procedures are followed
-- Ensure that all contract requirements at the tool build source and at the installation site are fulfilled.
-- Monitors safety and good housekeeping standards.

Job Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications:
-- Knowledge of production and equipment technology for products involved
-- Broad knowledge of tool and die trades
-- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output
-- High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
-- Knowledge of basic math including trigonometry
-- Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts
-- Completion of recommended Corporate training programs
-- Must be willing to work rotating shifts and daily and weekend overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
-- Experience with metal forming equipment, stamping presses, tool & die construction and maintenance would be an asset
-- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
-- Previous Supervisory experience in a union environment

Required Education / Training:
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience

Other Requirements:
DOT Physical Is Required

Workplace Environment:
This is an off-shift position (2nd and / or 3rd shift). Some overtime is expected (estimated 10 hours per week)
