Job Description

Description: Our Client
is a rapidly growing private company serving the energy sector based in Fort
Worth, TX. The management team is young, entrepreneurial, and dynamic. They are
supported by a “best in class” private equity firm and management.  They are currently seeking a Controller to
join their team. 

This
position will report to the CFO. You will be a key part of the Executive Team,
and working with the CFO to lead the development of:

Monthly
financial reporting to our equity investors and lenders;
Monthly
internal management financial and operational reports;
Oversee
the local controllers and accountants at each of our current and planned
locations;
Lead
negotiations with external Human Resources (“HR”) consultants regarding the HR
function, including payroll and benefits;
Handle
D&O, as well as P&C insurance functions;
Oversee
the annual audit process;
Oversee
all tax functions, including working external accountants in the annual tax
preparation process;
Assist
with the implementation of an Information Technology System, to help tie
together our various entities.

The position
will also have a strong business development angle and you will work closely
with the Founders in all aspects of future acquisitions for us, including:

Due
diligence, focusing on the financial, insurance, HR, and IT systems functions;
Financial
modeling;
Assisting
with the financing of the acquisition;
Interfacing
with our insurance consultants;
Interfacing
with our HR consultants to ensure that the new employees are transitioned on a
seamless basis;
Overseeing
the financial accounts for the new companies;
Ensuring
that the acquired companies’ IT systems are integrated with ours and otherwise
ensuring a smooth transition for all financial reporting for the newly acquired
company.

Requirements
for this position include:

Bachelor's
degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA
required
MBA preferred
Minimum
of eight years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a new
venture environment
Experience
should also include human resource administration, oversight of employee
benefit plans, audit management and requirements
Experience with SEC filing preparations
Excellent
written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency
with all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
