Description: Director of Sales and Marketing
Ensure the continued success as a leading liquid level sensor component supplier to OEM, Fabricator and LPG/NH3 distribution Customers. Manage/optimize the existing sales channels to ensure annual revenue and profit targets are achieved. Develop and implement sales strategy/tactics to increase penetration in our target markets and adjacencies. Develop and implement a 3 year strategic plan, and identify and drive market and business opportunities as approved by the Board of Directors.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
• Conceptual by nature
• Data driven with excellent analytic and organization skills
• Capable of delegating complex assignments while ensuring the success of his team members
• Possess excellent coaching and development skills in managing a team of professional and highly competent direct reports
• Very comfortable presenting technical information to technologists and lay persons
• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or Business discipline, an MBA is preferred
• Ten years of experience in senior level direct sales and at least five years in managing sales, marketing,
and/or business development teams
• Must have prior direct experience with technical selling to the global industrial market place (preference for experience in OEM markets allied with on or off-highway equipment, aircraft, or marine industries)

Duties/Responsibilities
1. Develops sales and marketing strategies to penetrate new customers and current targeted markets.
2. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long term sales.
3. Drives annual revenue and profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projects expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzes trends and results; establishes pricing strategies; recommends selling prices; monitors costs, competition, supply and demand.
4. Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing and evaluating advertising and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
5. Determines marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defines the market as well as competitor's share, strengths and weaknesses; forecasts projected business; and establishes targeted market share.
6. Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities including improving product packaging.
7. Creates and sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.
8. Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.
9. Ensures successful introduction of new products to the market.
10. Works directly with sales representative organization to implement sales strategies and monitor success.
11. Fosters a spirit of cooperation and understanding among work groups.
12. Provides leadership to department through mentoring, coaching and development activities.
13. Encourages employee involvement in operations.
14. Interprets Company policies to employees and enforces regulations.
15. Performs as a positive role model for the Company.
