Description: TITLE: Global Operations Manager

RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to VP of Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The Global Operations Manager is responsible for the overall
global operations of the company and its subsidiaries while building and leading
the global operations team.  You will be responsible for streamlining, expanding, and
the future development of all operations around the globe.  This will be achieved by meetings,
visits, tours, collaborative efforts and team building amongst all client locations.  You will also have direct
dialogue with customers regarding order fulfillment, the use of technicians,
training, the most efficient and reasonable logistics methods, asset delivery,
tool deployment and necessary servicing and maintenance at company bases, in the
field, or at customer locations. This position requires significant
international travel, a detailed specific agenda, a plan/calendar of meetings,
progress reports, and an updated on-going monthly calendar, among other items
to be submitted in a timely manner to your superior.  Regular scheduled meetings and email transfer
of any and all significant events, developments and progression is expected to
reinforce positive internal communication.

Global Operations

Improve service
quality, operational efficiencies, benchmarks, and workflow while implementing
global best practices.
Produce an operating
model that can be easily scalable based on business needs and easily replicated
as needed at global locations.
Oversee the training
programs for internal and external Certified Technicians.
Implement, monitor and
improve real time operational data capture for parts, inventory, and asset
management.
Maintain appropriate
staffing levels for field and shop operations through hiring, training,  and retaining quality employees
Improve upon
preventative maintenance programs, along with 'cookie cutter' repair
and maintenance processes and procedures.
Oversee all training
materials including tool manuals and training videos.
Maintain ISO 9001, ISO
18001, and API Q2 certification throughout each operating base.
Oversee and monitor
most efficient logistical operations for tool deployment.
Implement via ERP an
inventory tracking, process, and re-order system with minimums and maximums, spare
parts, tool inventory, redress kits, and internal parts.
Oversee, maintain, and
constantly reenergize the safety program.
Plan, schedule, and
execute strategies to achieve maximum product utilization / inventory turns
within Operations.
Oversee the
operational efficiency, collaboration and team work of all Global bases
Develop scalable
maintenance packages for shipment to remote locations.
Streamline the tool
ordering / tool delivery process for ease of use by customer.
Make frequent visits
to existing bases.
Help determine the
location of future operating bases, make location visits for feasibility
studies, hire and oversee training of new base personnel and field technicians.
Liaison between
manufacturing and engineering for new asset builds, proto-type testing, first
alert analysis, and tool servicing and repair.
 
QUALITY CONTROL:  Participate
and assist in maintaining the ISO and API Spec 2Q approved systems.
 
TRAINING:  Actively participate in the training of
personnel, recommend training requirements to management and monitor the
effectiveness of training given. Stay suitably informed and trained in all
areas that the position requires.
 
SAFETY:  Ensure that all statutory safety and
environmental issues are adhered to in accordance with the Company’s safety
procedures.
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering,
Mechanical, or industrial, a Master’s Degree or equivalent experience is
preferred
+/- 10 years’ experience
in a global environment, oilfield services preferred but not necessary
75% global travel with the
flexibility travel internationally with minimal notice
Experience with ISO
standards and accreditations are required. 
Familiarity with API standards and accreditations would be a plus
Ability to educate, train
and manage team members remotely
Focus on service quality,
improvements, operational efficiencies, benchmarking, and workflow on a
global basis
Global logistics, supply
chain, inventory, and asset utilization experience
Consistent ability to spot
improvement and execute standardization globally
