POSITION OVERVIEW




The Systems

Administrator is responsible for handling all first and second tier support

requests concerning servers, desktops, applications, printers and other related

peripherals. Other main functions include completing support tasks for hardware

devices and software packages, helping with installation setups, and

maintaining IT documentation guidelines.  




 




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:  Other

duties may be assigned.




Sets up PCs and network printers; new and used PCs (desktops and

laptops).
Troubleshoots branch and remote user networking issues.
Supports phones, and other office equipment, as well as PCs, servers

and various other hardware.
Performs Helpdesk and desktop related projects and deployments.
Orders IT related products and contacts vendors for maintenance, as

required.
Creates Active Directory computer and user accounts.
Ensures security of systems and equipment, as required.
Maintains and monitors all system applications and performs necessary

updates and procedures according to the established in the IT processes and

procedures.
Maintains system weekly and monthly tape storage backups.
Manages and maintains IT equipment storage.
Assists in managing Windows Server 2008/2012 configurations, security

patches and applications.
Identifies and communicates areas that need additional resources,

maintenance or that may be areas of risk.
Documents, tracks, and monitors all problems and requests to ensure a

timely resolution.
Participates in the on call rotation of the IT department.
Provides excellent customer service to all users.
 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:








































































Associate’s degree or comparable industry experience and training
Highly experienced in Windows 7, Active Directory, and Microsoft

Office
Basic networking experience
Proven PowerShell scripting experience
Proven coding skills in Java or other programming language
A+ certified or has similar hardware experience
Windows Deployment Services experience preferred
Highly knowledgeable and practiced at PC/software setups, hardware

support, etc. 
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of

measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals 
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but

uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to effectively use problem solving skills in standardized

situations
Ability to organize information
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to understand general business practices and use a wide range

of software and hardware applications
Ability and knowledge to work proficiently with advanced computer and

web related programs
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,

instructions, and procedures.
