Description: Manager of Clinical
Systems

High
volume pathology practice based in Dallas is looking for a Manager of Clinical
Systems to join their IT Department team.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the staffing, management,
planning, coordination, evaluation and support of the clinical applications and their
supporting processes and systems. The
ideal candidate will serve
as the clinical applications leader for the organization by managing clinical
system administrators and analysts.  Provides
technical and managerial leadership in establishing goals and priorities and in
the overall management of current and planned clinical application systems and
services.

-Supports
SharePoint including the interfaces to clinical applications and other
production systems.

-Meets
with corporate, division, and facility-level leadership teams, as needed, to
align IT strategy, services, and coordinate implementation activities.

-Builds
and maintains relationships with business operations, clinical staff, other IT
staff, and vendors.

-Participates
in resource planning and allocates resources to meet goals of the clinical
application services area, IT goals and business priorities.

-Participates
in the development of corporate and department-level clinical application
standards, policies, and procedures.

-Participates
in Information Technology governance.

-Ensures
that the design and use of clinical applications adhere to established
policies, procedures, and standards.

-Leads
analysis of organizational needs for development and implementation of clinical
applications; interfaces with users to ensure that clinical applications are
developed which meet business requirements.

-Establishes
and manages internal service level agreements in coordination with IT
department standards.

-Ensures
external service level agreements with vendors are met.

-Assists
in the development of the budget and develops project cost estimates.

-Ensures
that service resources are assigned for the timely resolution of clinical
application incidents and requests.

-Utilizes
the Help Desk in managing resolution of clinical application incidents and
requests ensuring tickets are entered and adequately documented.

-Works
with clinical and other IT department staff to plan for application standardization,
utilization, integration and optimization.

-Promotes
system security and patient confidentiality and helps ensure compliance.

-Coordinates
the sharing of best practice models, and policies & procedures related to
clinical application systems.




Experience:

* BS
degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field.

* A minimum of 10 years’ of demonstrated IT design and/or
architecture experience

* At least 9 years’ experience in a laboratory IT environment working with
enterprise level systems

* A minimum of 5 years’ as an IT systems manager. 

* Extensive technical expertise in one or more technology domains.

* The ability to influence business functions or technologies with
analysis. 

* Experience participating in senior management level discussions with
internal and external contacts.

* Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills for
both the technical and             nontechnical audience.
