Job Summary:

Assist in preparing cost estimates for competitive bids, negotiated proposals, and provide training and mentoring to interns and Estimator I. Develop relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Job Responsibilities:

-Prepare quantity survey of materials shown on project plans

-Read and outline project specifications

-Prepare Material and Other Costs (MOC) summary for quotations from the logistics center

-Manage an audit trail of quantity survey from estimate to estimate

-Assist with tracking Value Creation items from Development/Proposal/Acceptance/Non-Acceptance/Inclusion into Project Documents

-Assist with developing scopes of work for vendors/subcontractors

-Assist with vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination

-Assist with mentoring and training of subordinates

-Manage distribution of Plans and Specifications to vendors/subcontractors

-Exhibit professional personal appearance

-Maintain professional work space environment

-Comply with company policies and procedures

-Comply with Estimating Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)

-Promote Company image and ethics

Job Requirements

 

-Bachelor’s Degree, preference Construction Management or related field or an Associates of Arts Degree in Estimating

-Minimum 3+ yrs Commercial Construction including 1+ yrs Estimating Experience
