LSSI currently has positions open for Child Welfare Supervisors in Rockford, Illinois. 

Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in social work, or a related social service field, and a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.  Additionally, candidates must pass a background check, and possess a valid driver’s license/valid automobile insurance.  A State of Illinois Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL) is required for this position, but training and certification to meet this requirement are available upon hire.  This job requires flexibility, compassion, good communication skills (oral and written), the ability to work well with a variety of personalities, a commitment to providing a strong supervisory presence for casework staff, openness to personal and professional growth, and above all a desire to make a difference in the lives of children and families.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates must have:

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in social work, or a related social service field; 
  • 2 years of supervisory experience preferred, but not required;
  • Must pass a background check;
  • Possess a valid driver’s license & valid automobile insurance;
  • Possess or ability to obtain upon hire, a State of Illinois Child Welfare Employee License
