Job Description

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois ( LSSI ) has a full-time position available to work with adults who have substance related issues and dually diagnosis in a clinical & culturally sensitive manner.   Responsibilities include providing community support and case management services to clients in the community. Community support duties entail supporting, skill building, and developing resources, supports and skills to individuals to increase their community functioning in the surrounding neighborhood. Reliable car required with valid Illinois driver's license and auto liability insurance. Master's degree in social services or a related field required.  EOE

LSSI serves people through an array of programs at more than 100 sites across Illinois. LSSI’s services include counseling, mental health, substance abuse treatment, residential treatment for children and adolescents, early childhood education, programs for adults and children with developmental disabilities, foster care and adoption, housing and services for older adults and individuals with disabilities, nursing care and programs for prisoners and their families.

Job Requirements

Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social services or a related field. Professional certification or licensure (LSW, LPC, LCWS, LCPC, and/or CADC) within 2 yrs. of hire date. Minimum 2 yrs. experience required. Annual TB test required. CANTS Background test required. Competent in computers and ability to learn the electronic health records.
