Job Description
Department: Nixa Fitness Center
PRN (as needed) various shifts. Must be AFAA and Zumba certified. Prefer AEA and Spin certifications as well. Perform and lead Certified classes in a Fitness Center setting. Must demonstrate the competencies and execute the knowledge and skills associated with exercise prescription and leading exercise for both asymptomatic and symptomatic individuals.,Education: Prefer a B.S. in either Health Education, Physical Education, Recreation or Exercise Physiology. Experience: Prefer experience in leading exercise program and coordinating program activities. Certification/Registration: Must take the Primary Certification for the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, Johnny G. Spinning Certification or whichever certification that is specific to the class being taught. Must be CPR certified. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Must be able to meet the demands of a flexible schedule as classes are scheduled at various hours throughout the day.
