Job Description

Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric home healthcare services and will serve as an integral member of an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, providing patients with home-based treatment, rehabilitation, and medical support services per the directions of their physician. This will include providing psychiatric and physical health assessments and services requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills.

Duties:

  • Assessing somatic patient complaints
  • Providing oversight of dispensing of medication pursuant to physician’s orders and persons- served health needs
  • Maintaining medical records
  • Implementing orders of primary care physicians
  • Providing treatment for minor injuries or illnesses
  • Monitoring medical and pharmacological treatments
  • Providing supportive counseling, support services, and other clinical and rehabilitative services as credentialed

Specific qualifications for the role include:

 Current RN license in good standing for the state of North Carolina; Plus

  • Minimum 4 years of full-time accumulated experience in MH/DD/SA with the population served
  • Psychiatric nursing experience, preferred
