Job Description

Taylor Power Systems is a manufacturer of standby and prime diesel and gas generator systems in Clinton, MS.  Our Engineering Department is expanding to allow the design of additional generator models and products.  With over 30 years of manufacturing experience, our company competes in the national marketplace and looks to enhance our product line through ongoing custom design of current products and innovative planning of new products.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and catalog electrical and electronic control systems for power generation products including AC and DC systems.
  • Design and develop electrical schematics for production and as-built products.
  • Coordinate with customers, engineers, sales personnel and manufacturing to ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Assist Service Departments and Technical Support Department with troubleshooting and enhancements to existing electrical and electronic systems.
  • Perform field visits to meet with customers and engineers to review generator design requirements.
  • Perform field visits with Service personnel to set up, program and troubleshoot designed systems and components.
  • Assist in major start up and commissioning services.
  • Be directly involved in the manufacturing and testing of prototype units.
  • Coordinate and assist with U. L. certification testing
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or electronics field preferred.
  • Three to Five years of experience in the development, design, and implementation of electrical or electronic systems or components.
  • Results driven and ability to work independently and with an engineering team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, engineers and company personnel.
  • AutoCad experience is preferred.
