WTSP  is looking for a Local Sales Manager to lead and motivate the local sales team and achieve revenue results for WTSP in ST. Petersburg, FL.  WTSP produces respected and award winning news and local programming that is aired on our network affiliated station and across multiple platforms; and is a leading media company in the Tampa Bay Area. Brief Description of Duties:

Responsible for managing four or more Multi-Media Account Executives, Account Managers and Local Sales Assistant. Overseeing the hiring and training of the local sales team. Develop strategies to achieve local broadcast revenue and share goals for WTSP as well as drive digital sales efforts from local broadcast sellers. Accurately forecast local broadcast and digital revenue. Oversee local yield management implementation and collaborate with Director of Sales and National Sales Managers on broadcast pricing strategies. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key local clients and agencies.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

College degree with minimum five years’ broadcast television experience including three years managing a local sales team preferred. A proven track record of strategically developing revenue for stations and its advertisers. Outstanding leadership, coaching, and training skills with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills and advanced knowledge of television sales software systems and processes. Ability to analyze complex issues and make sound business decisions. A valid driver’s license and personal transportation required.
