FALL INTERNSHIPS AT KVUE!

Come learn about the greatest business on earth at KVUE-TV in Austin, the ABC affiliate serving Central Texas. In case you’re fuzzy on what the greatest business on earth is, the answer is journalism!

We’re looking for two college students to work as interns this fall. The pay is $10 an hour for 25 hours per week. Exact dates and times are flexible although some availability on weekday mornings is a plus. Transportation is a requirement, as you’ll need to drive to courthouses to research documents. You’ll learn about how KVUE produces and reports the news and get to do some work yourself after a training period. You’ll also find out how KVUE and our company (TEGNA Media) are working to re-invent and transform media for the 21st century. You should be at least a junior in college, majoring in journalism or mass communication or a related field, and passionate about working in this field after you graduate. This is a terrific opportunity to get your foot in the door and create connections that will get your career going after graduation. Start date is as soon as possible.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree-seeking student currently enrolled at a college or university; preference is for juniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who will be rising seniors during their internship summer
  • Passion for storytelling
  • Strong writing and social media skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
