Summary Description:                                                                     

Under the general direction of the Supply Chain Operations Supervisor, schedule and supervise warehouse personnel on rotating shifts while ensuring that parts are available and easily accessed at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:             

  • Maintain parts inventory and monitor inventoried parts for proper storage, usage and obsolescence, and determine proper storage needs.
  • Ensure proper accounting for materials issued.
  • Assist purchasing and accounting in the process of purchasing, receiving, delivery and payment of materials.
  • Monitor and inspect work areas to assure area is safe and in compliance with all MSHA and company safety rules and regulations, correcting all unsafe conditions.
  • Supervises all personnel assigned to them on shift, including assignment of duties, evaluation of performance, training and recommendation for training while insuring safe work behaviors and practices. 
  • Administer activities to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and union bargaining unit agreement.
  • Analyze internal warehouse controls and activities to insure compliance with SOX.
  • Prepare or review reports as required to evaluate and document activities.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of warehousing experience.
  • Prefer experience of supervision or directing the work of others.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of integrated computer applications, inventory management software, and Microsoft standard office programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental and safety regulations. 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact with other supervisors, professionals, representatives and departmental staff from within and outside the company.
