Summary Description:


Westmoreland Coal Company seeks an experienced IT Senior JD Edwards Business Analyst to be located in our Englewood, CO office to help support the Human Resources and Payroll teams with setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of the JDE system/HRIS system. The ideal candidate will be comfortable setting up, troubleshooting and assisting with all aspects of the HR/Payroll modules as well as collecting business requirements for enhancements and creating technical specifications for the Development team. This position interacts closely with the HR/Payroll teams and the JD Edwards Business Analyst team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Project management of key initiatives in process/system improvements, upgrades, migrations onto all HR/Payroll/HRIS systems
  • Works as key liaison within the HR organizations, supporting all information technology/HRIS requirements
  • Works with business and JD Edwards teams to define, design, test, and support the JD Edwards HR/Payroll/HRIS module
  • Functional support of JD Edwards HR/Payroll modules and additional systems support (US & Canada Payroll)
  • Creating functional requirements as an input to application design
  • Developing and testing detailed functional designs for business solution components and prototypes
  • Evaluates software and new options to improve performance

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5 years of HRIS experience
  • PHR or SPHR preferred
  • Excellent Communication Skills – oral and written
  • 5 years supporting ERP Systems and projects, specifically JD Edwards,  including systems implementation experience
  • IT Project Management experience is a plus
  • Business Analysis experience is required
  • JDE Training experience is a plus
  • Data Access Studio experience is a plus
