offices are maintained throughout Northern and Central California and 7.6
million Valley Yellow Pages directories are published annually.
Directories are delivered to every household and business in 46 different
markets in Northern and Central California, reaching more than 5 million
households.
Valley Yellow Pages is the largest independent directory
publisher in Northern California and the third largest independent publisher in
the nation.
Valley Yellow Pages was started in the Fresno
community in 1987. In 1988, AGI Publishing, Inc. published the first Fresno
& Clovis directory. The Valley Yellow Pages corporate and sales
offices in Fresno employ over 200 people, and the company as a whole employs
more than 700 people throughout Northern and Central California.
AGI
Publishing, Inc. was started in 1985 by three former Pacific Bell executives
with over 100 years of combined Yellow Pages experience. Founded on the
principle of bringing direct competition to the marketplace, Valley Yellow
Pages has battled the monopoly of the utility company in order to provide
consumers with a better product and advertisers with substantial savings.
Valley Yellow Pages was developed as an alternative to the phone
company's book, providing advertisers with a choice in Yellow Pages
advertising.
