Job Description

We are looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our TEAM on PRN status!  

 Located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, serene town just 30 minutes east of Washington, D.C., the International Associaton of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is well known for helping Firefighters and Paramedics who experience life’s most difficult situations. The IAFF Center of Excellence is committed to treatment for those who are overcoming behavioral health issues, including addictions and substance abuse. Our growing program is ready for the next level, and the next Director, to guide the way.  

The LPN performs a wide variety of job duties during shifts, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Key elements of this position are establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families.  

  • Collaborates with the treatment team to incorporate medical issues into treatment planning.   
  • Interacts with clients showing compassion and respect.   
  • Complies with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines and standards.   
  • Maintains confidentiality for all patients and facility activities.   
  • Maintains Standards of Ethical Conduct.    

  •  Licensed in Practical Nursing by the State of Maryland.   
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred, but New Grads Welcome!  
  • Experience in Psych/Mental Health desired..
