Job Description

The primary function of the Operations Coordinator is to process all shipments, coordinating the movement and monitoring while in route. Must have the ability to handle shipments from start to finish ensuring compliance with Agility’s Corporate policies as well as government regulations.   Direct communication with customers, overseas offices, airlines and truckers is required. 

Primary job duties and responsibilities are as follows:


  • Daily management and coordination of shipments
  • Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers and tender shipments
  • Create, coordinate country specific documents
  • Track and trace all shipments
  • Prepare and publish reports as requested
  • Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solutions
  • Confirm rates with carriers
  • Perform other duties as request or assigned
  • Responsible for cost containment of shipments
  • Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, select most cost effective method of delivery
  • Lane analysis required on orders to select the most appropriate mode of transport within customer requirements
  • Daily Communication with customers on relevant issues and resolution
  • Manage new account implementation from standard operating procedure to execution
  • Ability to demonstrate deductive logic, problem solving and trouble shooting skills

Job Requirements

All Education and Experience requirements comply with provincial human rights legislation.

Education and Experience include:

  • High school diploma
  • +5 year experience in freight operations
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and written with tendencies to create collaborative engagements
  • Interpersonal skills that builds respected professional relationships internally & externally
