Job Description

The National Project Coordinator is responsible for providing customer service to client companies for their Project cargoes while ensuring operational excellence, high productivity and customer satisfaction. 

The role will involve working closely with regional teams and senior executives. Actively support the pursuit of valued business opportunities in an effort to respond to adhoc quote requests and/or formal business tenders. This will be accomplished by:

  • Directly procuring and establish pricing for Project Logistics solutions, Specialized Equipment all modes transportation solutions with carriers
  • Will also respond to network quoting requests
  • Coordinate and align with Agility’s general freight product groups for In-gauge pricing and logistic solutions
  • Coordinate formal bid response generation, RFQ’s, RFI’s, ad hoc quotes for Project Logistics and Commercial & Network RFQs.

Primary job duties and responsibilities are as follows: 

  • Customarily and regularly directs the work of team members, ensuring timely and accurate processing of documentation and all other aspects of customer requirements
  • Communication to Branch/Overseas
  • Communication with the management to ensure best possible rates and service practices are achieved
  • Adhering to proper routing of shipments
  • Responsible for ensuring highest quality and accuracy of document processing
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction and customer retention by implementing effective service capabilities
  • Responsible for adherence to Canadian customs and all other government agencies
  • Responsible for general compliance with all trading countries/partners
  • Ensures that information between customer service, document processing group, and customers flows efficiently and accurately
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of service processes to drive gains in quality and productivity
  • Communicates with customer service group for any requirements or exceptions found in freight documents or physical cargo receipt
  • Responsible for timely update of milestones
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

All Education and Experience requirements comply with provincial human rights legislation.

Education and Experience include:

  • +5 years freight forwarding experience
  • +5 years project logistics experience
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and written with tendencies to create collaborative engagements
