Position: Warehouse Customer Service Coordinator
Location:  Franklin Park, IL (ORD)
Reporting to: Warehouse Manager
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

This is a great opportunity to gain valuable project logistics experience with a first class global company as a Warehouse Customer Service Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have experience in the import/export environment with a background in supply chain, logistics, ocean, air and ground transportation, purchasing, packing, invoicing, and data entry. This is a fast paced environment and requires accuracy, attention to detail, excellent customer service, time management and computer skills, the ability to work as a team member while taking ownership of the Warehouse Customer Service Coordinator position and required responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and adjust inventory per customer and perform item maintenance through WMS.    
  • Performs data entry and verification including ASN creation, order entry, pick list generation, inventory reconciliation according to established procedure in WMS.     
  • Directs and reports non-conformities to Logistics Manager, clients and/or vendors and prepares system generated reports
  • Responsible for determining and reporting the cargo particulars and discrepancies such as overages, shortages, damaged items.
  • Resolves discrepancies with clients and/or vendors through superior customer service
  • Issues Materials Receipts Details for cargo received (Ocean, air, land) and shipping documents (BOL) for outbound.
  • Prepare and submit month end billing (invoices) for customers and AP for vendors in all 3PL and domestic moves.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED; AA/Vocational/Technical preferred
  • 1-3 years of CFS experience preferred
  • AS400 / WMS Experience a plus
  • Experience with invoicing, AP/AR required.
  • Experience with air, ocean and ground transportation
  • Knowledge of principles of warehouse operations including inventory control, logistics and distribution
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Sense of urgency and ability to follow up are critical skills
  • Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to multi-task and exercise independent judgment
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
  • Must be able to interface with multiple departments and facility locations effectively

LANGUAGE SKILLS

English is the principal language for this position.  This position requires good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft  Excel, Word, Outlook,  and other technical software is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods

WORK HOURS AND ENVIRONMENT

Monday - Fri. 08:00 – 17:00 (occasional overtime or weekend hours may occur)
