Job Description

As the corporate paralegal you will handle employment, vendor, and real-estate form-based contracts and divisional operating leases on behalf of Confidential Healthcare Management Company and its affiliates. You will help build and maintain a contracts database, manage contract life-cycles, maintain company records, help develop and implement processes and procedures, conduct legal research, and support the internal team as needed. You will need to be detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and ready to operate in a fast-paced environment. This person will report to Executive-Level Management.



Job Requirements

  • Draft, review, revise, and discuss a variety of standard agreements (including confidentiality agreements, vendor agreements, order forms, amendments, and other legal documents).
  • Help build and maintain database of contracts and company records.
  • Assist with administration of existing contracts.
  • Research and analyze sources of law such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, and regulations.
  • Updates Organizational Executives with new regulations.
  • Work with the outside legal team to develop and implement processes and procedures.
  • Resolve routine legal issues based on outside attorney guidance.
  • Collaborate with business units across the company.
  • Rely on experience and good judgment to accomplish goals and escalate material issues.
  • Perform a variety of tasks as necessary to move projects forward and meet deadlines.
  • Ensure divisions are compliant with contract guidelines.
  • Conducts semi-monthly status update calls to cover all Allied legal status changes, etc.
  • Coordinate legal billing with approvals obtained from authorized signatories and communicate to finance.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or comparable experience.
  • Must have experience drafting, revising, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
  • 4-6 years’ experience in a paralegal capacity, with a substantial portion in a corporate legal department or a sub specialty in real estate contracts
  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of legal concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent PC skills, including MS office.
  • Proven ability to manage contracts and other legal documents.
  • Strong written, verbal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle conflicting time demands and focus on task completion with little direction or need for supervisory follow-up.
  • Ability to self-start, meet deadlines, prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work well with change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information discreetly and professionally.
