Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)

Garden City, NY

Garden City Pediatric Associates, a division of Allied Physicians Group, has been in practice for more than 30 years.  At Garden City Pediatrics, we put your child’s health and well-being first. Our physicians provide medical advice in accordance with the American Academy of Pediatrics.  FREE Prenatal Consultations are provided, either during the day or evening hours (by appointment).  This office is affiliated with Winthrop University Hospital, North Shore Manhasset and Cohen’s Children Medical Center at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Garden City Pediatric Associates is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to enhance their team!

This is a full-time role working approximately forty (40) hours each week.  For this position, availability and flexibility are very important because your schedule will vary from week to week. Your weekly schedule is as follows:

Sunday – 8:00am – 2:00pm

Monday – Various shifts

Tuesday - Various shifts

Wednesday - Various shifts

Thursday - Various shifts

Friday – Various shifts

Saturday – 8:00am – 2:00pm

Position Responsibilities:

  • Rooms patients according to company standards
  • Records patient care documentation in EMR accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates patient care as directed by physician’s company standards and policies.
  • Taking patient vitals, throat swabs and assisting physician in minor procedures when necessary.
  • Administering medications/vaccines as directed by the physician.
  • Process appropriate documents in an organized and accurate fashion.
  • Respects patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Preparing, restocking and disinfecting examination rooms procedure room’s lab area and all other patient care areas at scheduled intervals as needed.
  • Representing practice in professional manner and treating all customers and fellow employees in a courteous and cooperative manner.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing school required.
  • Certifications: Current New York license to practice professional nursing (LPN)
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in pediatrics required.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft office and EMR, GE Centricity EMR preferred.
