We are seeking a Medical Assistant

This position would be best suited for an outgoing, positive energy person who appreciates cordial, professional employee relationships and close continuity of care with our families and children. 

For this position, availability and flexibility are very important because your schedule may vary from week to week based upon the staffing needs of the office.

We support over 150 caring physicians who provide the highest quality healthcare and exceptional service to over 180,000 patients throughout the New York State. The administrative and operational support provided by Adjuvant.Health allows practicing physicians to focus on patient care.

  • We currently support 34 physician practices located throughout Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island as well as Westchester and Orange Counties.

Preferred Qualifications for Ideal Candidates:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge and experience as a Medical Assistant highly preferred
  • Minimum of one year in a medical office, pediatric experience a PLUS
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge of EMR is required. Experience with GE Centricity preferred.

Position Responsibilities:

•         Rooms patients according to company standards

•         Pediatric blood draw (venipuncture and capillary) experience is required

•         Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner

•         Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies

•         Processes appropriate documents in an organized and accurate fashion

•         Coordinating out-patient testing and referrals and hospital pre-admission when necessary.

•         Respects patient confidentiality at all times

•         Preparing, restocking, and disinfecting examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area, and all other patient care areas at scheduled intervals and as needed.

•         Representing office in a professional manner and treating all customers and fellow employees in a courteous and cooperative manner.

•         Attending required meetings and participating in team activities and professional development activities.

•         Performs all other related duties as assigned
