Bellmore Merrick Medical, a division of Allied Physicians Group, has been in practice since 2000 serving the Bellmore and Merrick, NY communities. Bellmore Merrick Medical is looking to hire a dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance their team!

This is a full-time role working thirty-two (32) hours each week. For this position, availability and flexibility are important because your schedule may vary from week to week. This position requires a minimum of one to two (1-2) weekends per month as well as call (specifics negotiated at the time of offer).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Obtain medical histories.
  • Perform physical examinations.
  • Make diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Review test results.
  • Develop patient’s plan-of-care.
  • Provide patient/family education about medical conditions and treatments.
  • Counsel patients regarding therapeutic regimens, promoting wellness and health.
  • Prescribe medications.
  • Document exam and progress notes in EMR.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations; suturing; managing wounds and infections.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Nurse Practitioner candidates:

  • Master of Science Degree from and accredited Nursing Program (MSN)
  • NYS Registered Nurse License
  • NYS Nurse Practitioner License
  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification highly desirable (ANCC or AANP)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS a plus
  • Will consider new grads


Physician Assistant candidates:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Program
  • NYS Physician Assistant License
  • NCCPA Certification highly desirable
  • Additional Post-Graduate training in Pediatrics highly desirable
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS a plus
  • Will consider new grads

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must possess attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems required, Centricity and Phreesia preferred.
