Job Description

Allied Resources is currently seeking a highly skilled Lead P&C/Relay Project Engineer (Utility/Power) for their top client in the Greater Detroit, MI area. Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience testing/commissioning, integrating, and developing design packages, and settings for Protective Relays (SEL/GE/ABB) and P&C systems for high-voltage (34.5kV-500kV) Transmission & Distribution facilities, and GIS/AIS Substations
  • Ability to lead and oversee the integration, development, and deployment of new technology for P&C systems and Protective Relays for Electric Utility, Power Generation, and/or Distributed Generation/Renewables applications
  • Experience creating settings and system requirements for SEL/GE relays per NERC CIP/PRC standards and requirements
  • Experience performing power system studies, load flow analysis, power flow analysis, short circuit, Arc-Flash, etc.
  • Responsible for the specification, evaluation, and procurement of new high-voltage protective relays/P&C systems and equipment for use in Sub-Transmission facilities
  • Working knowledge of SEL relays and .RDB files, and how to read/send files to relays
  • Familiar with NERC CIP/PRC standards, compliance and requirement
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology, and a minimum of 5+ years of experience
  • E.I.T./P.E. License is highly desired
