Job Description

Allied Resources is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager (Utilities/Power/Renewable Energy) for their top client in the Northwest region. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the activities and execution of major infrastructure and interconnection projects spanning across the region, including the project resources, priorities, investment plans, execution strategy and internal/external resource requirements. Qualified candidates should have experience managing $1Billion budgets of Electric Utility, Power, Renewable Energy or Distributed Generation construction projects.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction/Project Management, or related study, PMP Certificate preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years’ of experience in Project Management and Construction for Electric Utility, Power Generation, or Renewable Energy/Distributed Generation projects
  • Experience managing Engineering/Construction programs with a portfolio of major/CAPEX project budgets exceeding $1B
  • Leads and creates strategic deliverables, program plans, risk assessments, and analyzes the overall project performance
  • Implement project management principles, standards, procedures, tools, best practices, and quality requirements for large-scale Utility and Renewable Energy
  • Provide direction and input on appropriate program development opportunities, continuous improvement initiatives, contract/agreement negotiations, etc.
  • Knowledge of construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract administration
  • Responsible for negotiation and management of engineering, procurement, and construction ('EPC') activities
  • Directs project managers and construction site managers to ensure that project milestones are met safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Project Manager will provide recommendations on costs, schedules and other factors for construction and operations of proposed or existing projects
  • Ability to analyze project risks, identify solutions with a flexible, creative, and solution-focused outlook on problem solving
  • Responsible for effective forecasting of capital budget spending on assigned projects
