Inventory Cycle Counter

Job Description


Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the cycle counter will complete daily audits of designated inventory to assure the accuracy of system information. 



Duties include but are not limited to:


Working from a generated list, the counter will locate (raw stock, finished stock, machine shop, outside services, kitted orders, sub/ final assembly) and verify counts, reconcile discrepancies, and provide corrected figures for adjustment to the inventory. The cycle counter will be assigned other duties as deemed essential, by the supervisor.


This position requires enforcement of and adherence to all safety rules and regulations at this facility.  Additionally, duties of this position will be carried out within the guidelines of Inertia Dynamics Quality Policy Statement.

Job Requirements



To perform this job successfully, you must be detail oriented, possess strong math skills, positive attitude and strong initiative along with demonstrated accuracy of work.  Extensive contact with employees in all areas of the business will be required.    Previous experience with forklifts is desirable.


Must be able to read and understand process related documentation. Work in a safe manner observing safety practices.




High School education or equivalent, preferred

3 year hands-on production control/inventory work in a manufacturing environment

Lifting requirements include but not limited to the following:


Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to an industrial environment including moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment may be loud during some periods.
