Job Description

Formsprag LLC, a Division of Altra Industrial Motion is seeking full time summer Lean Manufacturing Intern for our facility in Warren, Michigan.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Lean Manufacturing intern will work closely with our Lean Manufacturing (ABS) Manager supporting a variety of functions including but not limited to:

Process Management

Visual Management

Data Analytics

Fostering a culture of continuous improvement & Connecting individual processes and departments

 

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

Current student pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or other related field

Highly motivated self starter - reliable and dependable

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to function well in a team environment

PC literacy, including previous experience with MS Office Suite

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus

Previous experience with Continuous Improvement tools, such as Lean & Six Sigma
