POSITION SUMMARY

Provides assistance to the Control Center Supervisor through data entry, document and data control, cycle counts, vendor quotes, and purchase orders.

Essential Functions Statement(s)


Assist the Production and Inventory Control Supervisor in releasing projects to manufacturing.  


Send out part information to vendors for quotes, review quotes and create purchase orders. Provide quote information as needed to PIC Supervisor in a timely manner. Validate vendor compliance with ship dates, quality and price.  


Order material, parts and work orders.  


Publishes all Work orders required by the shop. Distributes Work orders to the shop to meet production schedules. 


Review engineering drawings and Bills of Material releases for design completion and accuracy. 


Plot prints for manufacturing.  


Maintain regular cycle counts of stocked, fabricated, purchased and outsourced parts.  


Assist and support parts requests from any Arrowhead Systems Company.  


Complete ECN's both timely and accurately.  


Complete stock work orders and A&B parts orders using the appropriate reports.  


Maintain assembly bay schedule and layout.  


Close capacity plan weekly.  


Roll up projects as they are completed in both manufacturing and shipping. 


Maintain the procedure catalog and document Standard Operating Procedures. SOP's must be maintained through yearly audits. All document updates must be entered as needed.  


Create standard routings (including time estimates) for all parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies for the most efficient sequence of operations to manufacture the products. 


Researches viable manufacturing organizations for outsourcing. Conducts searches for improved and/or less costly manufactured parts to support our competitive goals within our markets in accordance with Engineering and Manufacturing specifications. 


Maintain the system as to accuracy of the product structures and cost to reflect all process changes. 


Assist in maintaining the master production schedule including the responsibility of scheduling the sub-assemblies and assemblies within the allotted time frame by work centers. 


Maintains a level of professionalism in communication, both verbal and written. 


Performs other special assignments as required. 


Assist in Shipping and Receiving as needed. 



Job Requirements

SKILLS & ABILITIES


Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Basic knowledge of general metal fabrications processes and manufacturing capabilities equivalent to a two year Associates Degree.



Experience:

More than two years experience in an electro/mechanical-manufacturing environment.



Computer Skills:

Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Must be capable of learning the Company MRP system and Control Center Software. 



Other Requirements:

Must be adept at understanding and interpreting engineering drawings.
Must have the ability of working with manufacturing Supervision in identifying process problems and assisting in corrective action.
