Job Description

-          Explore customer’s interest in merchandise, apparel or marketing services.  These may be in-store customers, customers from phone canvasing or outside visits.

-          Take orders from in-store customers / or outside sales calls.

o   Record all information regarding the products the customer is seeking so an accurate quote can be prepared. This should include any budget or time constraints.

o   Review the quote with the customer and have them sign off that the order is correct.

o   Have the customer pay the deposit or in full.  

-          Prepare order for the vendor who will produce product, being sure to include all relevant information the vendor will need.

-          Follow up with vendor as needed to insure the correct product is being produced and on time.

-          Prepare a Production Sheet to communicate the specific decoration(s) to be applied.  (This work may be done in-house or by an outside vendor.

-          When product arrives inspect to make sure the order is correct. Includes decoration if done by an outside vendor.

-          If decoration will be done in house inspect for quality / accuracy.

-          When customer takes final product(s) make sure customer is satisfied with our work.

-          Take final payment if due.

-          File all related paperwork including art and art specifics so a repeat order can be done relatively easy.

Job Requirements

  • -          Highly organized.  Can manage all aspects of a sale including working with the customer to determine what the transaction will include, and working with suppliers to insure the correct product is purchased at the right price and in a timely manner.

    -          Strong capabilities with attention to detail.

    -          High energy level.  This job can be challenging.

    -          Positive attitude.  Always a “can do” approach.

    -          Strong communication skills, with clients or vendors.

    -          Good computer skills with a number of different programs.

    -          Experience with sales, preferably in Business to Business.

    -          Strong team player.  Must be able to contribute to the team effort.
