Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a AMCI Counselor in the Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention program at Behavioral Health Network!

Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI):

The Mobile Crisis Intervention program provides crisis intervention and stabilization services to children and adolescents in the Westfield area. The MCI program through BHN is the designated Emergency Service Provider for the Southern Pioneer Valley.

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention program with the following:

  • Accompany Licensed and Master Level Clinicians on all community-based intervention services.
  • Acting as the primary “point of contact” for all individuals served who have accessed crisis services, ensuring that individuals are being followed throughout the process of being connected to services and resources within BHN and the community.
  • Navigating individuals through the process of getting connected to the services identified by the AMCI crisis clinician and making the appropriate referrals.
  • Maintaining direct service productivity as agreed, while completing all required trainings.
  • Facilitating collaboration and consultation with internal and external service providers including but not limited to the use of specialty care managers to meet individuals’ needs in a timely and efficient manner.

What are we looking for in a AMCI Counselor?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related mental health field (Social Work or Psychology) with 1 year of work experience in a related mental health field (required).
  • Knowledge of mental illness, the interface between mental health and medical conditions and systems, substance abuse, and care management.
  • Must have familiarity with the internet, word processing, and email systems.
  • Professional demeanor and phone skills in communicating with clients and other professionals.
