Clinical Supervisors are responsible for overseeing clinical programming and providing milieu management. Clinical Supervisors provide supervision to the staff, as needed, and ensures the well-being of individuals served. Clinical Supervisors assign and oversee caseloads for direct reports. They also oversee psycho-educational groups, attend staff and weekly treatment team meetings, and perform assessments in compliance with DPH standards. Clinical Supervisors also monitor the formulation and completion of treatment plans, progress notes, and group notes. Additionally, Clinical Supervisors work collaboratively with the Program Director to ensure quality of services and to identify staffing needs, recruits, screenings, and the overall hiring of program staff. 

BHN/OTP is a Medication Assisted Treatment Program to assist individuals who are opiate addicted and are experiencing the dysfunctional effects of its use to gain and maintain the skills needed to achieve an opiate-free lifestyle and to improve functioning. BHN Springfield OTP uses medication protocols approved by the Medical Director to ensure patients are safely detoxified from these substances. These protocols are evidenced based, and are implemented through assessment and re-assessment practices throughout the process.

Job Requirements

Clinical Supervisors at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in substance abuse treatment environment (required).
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience providing supervision to interdisciplinary team (required).
  • Commitment to empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration for all individuals served.
  • Working knowledge of DPH Bureau of Substance Abuse regulations (required).
  • Experience working with substance abuse and dual diagnoses
  • Independent Licensure: (LMHC, LICSW LADC I or LADC II) or equivalent. Equivalent is defined as: completed a Master’s Degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field: clinical psychology, education/counseling, medicine, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, social work, and experience in substance abuse and mental health services (required).
