Help provide individualized care to those in recovery from substance use in the Western Massachusetts community!

Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Opioid Treatment Program at Behavioral Health Network!

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Opioid Treatment program with the following:

  • Providing care with kindness and sensitivity that preserves and protects the autonomy, dignity, and rights of the individuals they serve.
  • Using knowledge of biophysical, psychosocial, and spiritual dimensions during the assessment process.
  • Diagnosing an individual’s condition and develop a personal care plan for intervention.
  • Collaborating with the individuals and their families.
  • Educating them and recognizing the unique needs of the dually diagnosed and other special populations to obtain positive therapeutic outcomes.
  • Evaluating the individuals’ responses to the care plan and track their progress towards ideal outcomes.

Who are we?

BHN/OTP is a Medication Assisted Treatment Program to assist individuals who are addicted to opiates and are experiencing their dysfunctional effects to gain and maintain the skills needed to achieve an opiate-free lifestyle. The OTP program uses evidence-based medication protocols approved by the Medical Director to ensure patients safely detox from these substances. These protocols are implemented through assessment and re-assessment practices throughout the process.

Licensed Practical Nurses at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree (preferred), or Diploma/Degree in Nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Massachusetts Board of Registration (required).
  • Minimum of one year nursing experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of quality assurance standards and CARF standards.
  • Working knowledge of ethics and legal parameters of working with substance abuse clients.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and abilities.
  • Proficiency in applying the nursing process to individuals and families.
  • Ability to collaborate with other care givers.
  • Ability to delegate to peers and other care givers consistent with their level of expertise.
  • Ability to understand, empathize and work with an addicted population, including those with co-occurring disorders.
  • Ability to advocate for clients.
  • Nights and Weekends maybe required depending on the needs of the program,
