Use your maintenance skills to maintain and improve the facilities at a non-profit!

Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Maintenance Worker in the Residential and Support Services program at Behavioral Health Network! Maintenance Workers perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks. This per diem Maintenance Worker position totals about 5 hours of work per week.

Working with an individual served, Maintenance Workers complete short-term maintenance projects as needed, including painting and basic household repairs, as well as minor plumbing and carpentry repairs and services. Maintenance Workers assist the individual served to maintain their grounds in a clean and orderly manner if needed. Additionally, Maintenance Workers provide direct services that support growth, promote independence, and ensure safety of individuals served in all settings. Maintenance Workers provide indirect services that document and support the provision of direct services to individuals served.

In the Residential Support Services program at BHN, we provide 24-hour staffed residential services, community day support, individual and family support services, a social club, and an advocacy program. BHN values the individuals we serve. Each person we serve is part of a team that includes family, BHN staff, and other providers who work together to assess the individual’s needs and goals and then create and maintain a plan reflecting strengths, capabilities and desires.

Job Requirements

Maintenance Workers at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and carpentry.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to follow instructions to complete a task.
  • Proficiency in use of all office equipment (copier, fax, PC, printers, and scanners).
  • Minimum of 1 year of related maintenance experience (required).
  • Minimum of six months experience in human services (preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Must have own standard maintenance tools for the job.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable car available for working hours.
