Lead our team of competent and compassionate professionals as the Program Director in the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) at Behavioral Health Network! The Program Director works with BHN’s senior and program leadership teams to provide clinical and administrative leadership for BHN’s Opioid Treatment Programs in Holyoke, MA. In this role, the OTP Program Director plans, develops, organizes, and directs the operation of the OTP programs to meet its mission and goals, as well as the requirements of all federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting bodies.

Additionally, the Program Director of Opioid Treatment Programs is responsible for the program’s fiscal and operational management, leads in defining treatment philosophies that shape treatment models of care, and supervises the OTP Management Team administratively and clinically. The Program Director also oversees marketing and advocacy efforts for substance abuse treatment services, acts as liaison to external entities including regulatory (DPH) referral sources and payers, and represents BHN in the community.

The Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) at Behavioral Health Network is a Medication Assisted Treatment Program to assist individuals who are opiate addicted and are experiencing the dysfunctional effects of its use to gain and maintain the skills needed to achieve an opiate-free lifestyle and to improve functioning. BHN’s Holyoke OTP uses medication protocols approved by the Medical Director to ensure patients safely detox from these substances. These protocols are evidenced based and are implemented through assessment and re-assessment practices throughout the process.

Job Requirements

The Program Director of Opioid Treatment Programs at Behavioral Health Network has the following qualities:

  • At least three years of supervision and management experience (required).
  • At least three years of advance practice in clinical work with addicted and dually diagnosed patients (required).
  • Master’s Degree in Mental Health, addictions, or a related field (required).
  • Independent licensure or eligibility (preferred).
  • Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts of addiction treatment (required).
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Proven creative problem-solving skills and ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to manage stress related to clinical and administrative components of the position.
  • Ability to travel between opioid treatment programs, agency offices, and state/local organizations.
