Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Residential Supervisor in the Developmental and Intellectual Disability Services program at Behavioral Health Network!

Western Mass (Springfield, Northampton, Amherst, Holyoke)!

$4,000 Sign On Bonus!!

This position plays a role in supporting the operations of our residential programs. Our service area covers the Springfield, Chicopee, Holyoke, Northampton, & Amherst regions. This role requires flexibility and the ability to travel as needed, providing support to other supervisors during their absences and assisting with a variety of tasks. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed, including serving as a member of the program on-call team.
  • Oversee the implementation of treatment plans, health & safety plans, and all aspects of medication treatment and administration.
  • Assist in monitoring the overall health and well-being of individuals and support their independence by empowering them in their decision making.
  • Ensuring that they are engaged in goal development and accomplishment.
  • Help individuals foster relationships and participate in the community.
  • Engaging in hiring and training staff to provide direct support in BHN programs and homes.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the program and facility and manages relations with stakeholders in the program.
  • Supervising the upkeep of the programs’ regulations, policies and procedures, budget, and contractual obligations.
  • Enhancing the quality of individuals served by ensuring their health and safety and helping them to enjoy their leisure time at home and in the community.
  • Required to assist in maintaining staff ratio per regulatory requirements.

In the Developmental and Intellectual Disability Services program at BHN, we provide 24-hour staffed residential, individual and family support services, a social club, and an advocacy program. BHN values the individuals we serve in shared living and small group homes. Each person we serve is part of a team that includes family, BHN staff, and other providers who work together to assess the individual’s needs and goals and then create and maintain a plan reflecting strengths, capabilities, and desires.

Qualifications/Requirements

What are we looking for in a Residential Supervisor?

  • High School Diploma/GED (required)
  • 3 years of relevant experience (required).
  • At least 2 years of experience in human services (required).
  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable car available for work (required).
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Supervisory experience (preferred).
