Job Description

THIS IS NOT A SPONSORSHIP POSITION. CertifiedSafety Inc., a leading industrial safety company located in League City, Texas, is looking for an eager, passionate and dedicated software developer to assist a small team in building the company’s operational systems.  These systems will drive the Company’s workflow of information to include sales, staffing, forecasting, training, operational project management, and financial reporting along with tight integrations to third-party payroll and accounting systems. The development team is based in our League City, Texas office, but will support operations nationwide. A typical day for this candidate would include writing and testing web application software code to support and address business problems and workflows, writing and testing MS-SQL queries, meeting with the project team leader and other developers for code review and testing. Ideal candidate must be able to document work performed and time spent toward projects, as well as meet with internal stakeholders for feedback and information gathering.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Ability to work in our League City, TX corporate office daily (no telecommuting).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively.
  • Must possess some measure of business acumen and/or experience in order to apply development technical skills to solve real-world data workflow problems.
  • Strong desire to explore innovative ways to solve business problems while strongly maintaining consistency with existing code and workflows.
  • Ability to follow and mimic existing code writing styles and designs.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Development Platform and its tools as we are a full Microsoft    environment.

The ideal candidate would be preferred to also possess:

  • Experience in the energy/oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Experience with electronic document workflows preferred.
  • Technical Degree in a related discipline preferred.

Job Requirements

Technical Knowledge/Experience Required (Minimum of 2 years):

  • Working experience on small development teams building highly functional business workflow applications.
  • Microsoft .net 4.6, C#, MVC, Razor, Entity Framework.
  • Designing, coding, UI AND testing.
  • Building and troubleshooting data queries using Linq and SQL.
  • Agile project styles using Visual Studio 2017 and Azure DevOps/VSTS/TFS.

Technical Knowledge/Experience Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of SQL management studio and Microsoft SQL Server a plus.
  • Experience building responsive web designs using Bootstrap 4, HTML5 & CSS3 a plus.
  • Experience with Telerik KendoUI development tools (or similar) a plus.
  • Basic IT networking skills (some knowledge of Windows and Linux administration helpful).


  • The ideal candidate will bring their own technical skills to the project.
