Job Description



  • Align all aspects of work with the company’s values: keep our promises, committed to add value, work as a team and value the health and well-being of ourselves and others.
  • Drives and directs all recruitment efforts and processes.
  • Develops and implements recruitment strategies.
  • Research and recommend new sources for the recruitment of active and passive candidates.
  • Build networks to find qualified candidates.
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, social media and internet sites.
  • Create and suggest new and effective interviewing procedures and techniques.
  • Coordinates and Communicates with the Staffing department, General Managers, and Project Managers to determine the effectiveness of recruitment plans and the necessary pool of applicants to staff the jobs with quality employees.
  • Communicates to Manager of Resources any delays or roadblocks to meeting needed pool of candidates’ levels.
  • Document and present detailed progress reports of recruitment campaigns.
  • Manages applicant sources by keeping information up to date and accurate.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with applicants and inactive employees to stay abreast of their employment availability and qualifications.
  • Conducts initial candidate screenings and interviews.
  • Works with Training and Development Manager in order to train field employees as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

Must Haves:

  • Recruitment background with Refinery/Chemical Plant recruitment preferred
  • Recruiting Experience of 5-7 years
  • Working knowledge of applicable employment laws.
  • Experience working with Training and Development
  • Experience with multiple recruitment sources (including Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln, etc.), Networking and have the experience in developing new recruitment resources.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, up to 25% of the time.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, customer and presentation skills.
  • Strong coordinating skills to find the necessary pool of people to staff multiple jobs at the same time and have an agreed upon percentage of bench on stand by.
  • Must be self-directing in order to think outside the box for recruiting efforts.

Computer Skills:

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate-Word/Excel)
