Job Description

The Staffing Specialist will provide support to assist Staffing Supervisor in the recruitment of safety attendants and other related field personnel.

•         Read and interpret staffing plans to direct staffing objectives

•         Dispatch most qualified candidates to customer sites

•         Evaluate information from applications, resumes and screening results

•         Interview and select candidates for all field positions

•         Fill requisitions with the best qualified applicants and employees in a manner that best benefits each project and the company as a whole

•         Communicate to Staffing Supervisor any delays or roadblocks to meeting needed staffing levels

•         Work closely with training manager to schedule and execute all necessary training programs

•         Manage drug consortium pools weekly to ensure that we are in compliance with random testing requirements

•         Enter employee status data into AEMS accurately

•         Notify Staffing Supervisor or other relevant managers of any personnel issues

•         Work closely with field supervision to ensure all staffing needs are met and any issues are clearly communicated

•         Keep personal employee information confidential

•         Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

•         High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred

•         3-5 years experience administrative support in staffing, preferably in service industry

•         Working knowledge of applicable employment laws

•         Experience in oil & gas/petrochemical industry required

•         Willingness to travel as needed, up to 15% of the time

COMPUTER SKILLS

•         Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

•         Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
