Job Description

•Develops, implements, & maintains comprehensive intensive programs including Adult In-Home Program, Community Integration Program, Certified Peer Support Staff, Adult Intensive Day Treatment, and Probate Team

•Monitors and provides consultation regarding referrals for intensive services and coordinates on-going services within these programs both directly and indirectly through supervision of staff.

•Assures continuity of services for consumers coming into and/or leaving intensive services according to accepted professional standards.

•Conducts psycho-social evaluations according to accepted professional standards for those consumers pending admission to various treatment facilities.

•Provides individual, group, and family therapy according to current, accepted professional standards.

•Develops and updates treatment plans with consumers according to Department of Mental Health and Medicaid regulations.

•Supervises staff and assures documentation is complete, concise, accurate, and timely.

•Provides and supervises direct services to consumers and their families for Adult Intensive Day Treatment Program as well as provides direct services for other programs on an as needed basis.

•Supervises staff in documentation and completes documentation in a timely, concise, and accurate manner in accordance with Department of Mental Health and Medicaid regulations.

•Responds to emergencies as needed.  Assures consumer safety and welfare through adherence to Emergency and Safety Policies and Procedures.

•Serves on agency emergency duty on-call rotation as assigned on a monthly basis.



Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: MASTERS DEGREE IN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND TWO YEAR’S POST-MASTERS EXPERIENCE IN A DIRECT SERVICE AREA. A DRIVER’S LICENSE VALID IN THE STATE OF ALABAMA, MAINTENANCE OF A GOOD DRIVING RECORD, PERSONAL AUTOMOBILE LIABILTY COVERAGE ($20,000- $40,000), AND COMPLETION OF DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH APPROVED CASE MANAGEMENT AND CASE MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR TRAINING.
