Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/related discipline is required or equivalent experience.
 
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance may be attained after hire.  Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
 
Qualifications:
Our client has an immediate opening for a Cyber Systems Administrator.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  Our clients employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS: 
Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems
Conducts systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies
The Server System Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day support of Server services and Operating Systems
Performs administration of physical and virtualized servers
Executes necessary configurations to ensure compliance with back-up and disaster recovery policies and procedure
Knowledge of security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection, two factor authentication, etc.
Basic knowledge of cyber security technology and trends
System administration experience with Red Hat Linux Operating Systems
Ability to participate in or lead security work groups
System administration experience with Windows Server, Windows Workstations
Excellent technical document preparation and verbal communication skills
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows standard practices and procedures
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with non-technical and technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of individuals including technical and non-technical staff
Ability to work individually with supervision
Understanding of access, permissions and security that gives the clients the access to the data they need to perform their daily activities
Executes the security testing and evaluation to ensure the correct implementation of security requirements
Executes security scanning and the analysis of the scan results

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Bash Scripting
Hardening/Armoring of Linux and Windows systems using STIGs
Managing and implementing IAVAs on Linux and Windows systems
Network security
Implementing Host-based firewalls
