Electrical Engineer - Digital Circuit Card Assemblies
Location: McKinney, TX 75071
Duration: 6 months
You MUST be a US Citizen.
You are "one of those" awesome electrical engineers who stays up to date with the latest technologies and trends... in microprocessors, memory, FPGAs, and interface protocols.
And, you are an expert who can quickly understand system level requirements, and then develop unit and module level requirements, the associated architectures... and then implement your design... while performing analysis and testing of the FPGA, module, and unit in a lab setting.
You have substantial experience in all aspects of circuit card design... from concept through delivery to higher level assemblies... including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry standard interfaces.
You can do these things while working independently, leading, and with system engineers, mechanical engineers, and software engineers.
Here's what your background will have, so that you can be instantly productive on Day-1...
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance (or already have a Secret Clearance)
  • 8+ years applicable experience in digital circuit design and analysis
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM degree
  • Understanding of board level design, and ability to debug board level hardware
  • Experience with Mentor xDX Designer to create schematics that contain microprocessor, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR and flash memories, block diagrams, parts lists and design review packages for complex electronics
  • Proficient with generating Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layout constraint guidelines, and oversee the layout and fabrication of the design
  • Experience developing design requirements and specifications for circuit card assemblies with embedded processors
  • Experience with interfaces and bus standards such as: VME, PCI, PCIe, VPX, and Gb Ethernet
  • Possess skills to handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment
  • Experience writing test procedures, conducting tests
  • Mastery with operating lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and writing
  • Thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to take a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level, and then develop a complete hardware design, and verifying that design via test and integration
  • PWB Signal Integrity Analysis
  • 5+ years experience in Task Management or other Lead role on Large Development jobs
  • Experience as an IPT or CPT Lead
  • Experience as a Hardware Architect
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certified and professional exposure to EVMS or similar budget tracking system
  • Analog & FPGA circuit card design experience
  • Active Secret security clearance
