Job Description

Electrical Engineer needed – Marlborough, MA.
We have an opening with a great client of ours and we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to work in Marlborough, MA. You must be a US Citizen to apply.  This is a 1 year contract with possible extension.  
Pay Rate: $66-$68/hr.
US Citizenship required, and the ability to obtain a US DOD Secret security clearance
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Perform phased array (AESA) hardware system design and integration support, including analysis and measurement of system performance in relevant and operational environments
  • Operate several radar systems located primarily in MA, but also around the US, to support test campaigns and customer demonstrations
  • Implement software-based system changes (when applicable) in support of test and demonstration events
  • Provide innovative design proposals for system enhancement, algorithm development, and optimization in support of key performance parameters
  • Collaborate in an agile development environment with multiple engineering disciplines within our client, suppliers, and Customers to develop and deliver system enhancements for multiple stakeholders
  • The position studies existing system performance to affect future design changes to improve the system and contributes to the development of operational plans in conjunction an agile development team to obtain data necessary to study and implement system enhancements. This position is internal and external facing and requires for communicating with multiple parties to achieve program objectives.
Required Skills:
  • System-level hardware and software integration experience with demonstrated problem solving results
  • Direct hands-on experience with phased array antenna testing techniques, including near field range testing, far field range testing, and relevant environment (e.g. in-field) system operation
  • Experience with performing simulation and analysis using Matlab, Python, or other similar tools and languages
  • Proficiency working in a lab environment and operating RF and standard test equipment including spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Willingness and ability to support domestic travel and potential international travel
  • Proven innovator of creative solutions to challenging problems
Desired Skills:
  • Direct experience with design and product development of software-defined systems
  • Experience with analyzing air traffic radar key performance parameters
  • Experience collaborating in agile development with systems and software engineering disciplines, suppliers, and Customers to develop and deliver safety critical air traffic surveillance systems
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 4 years of related work experience or Master Degree and 2 years of related work experience.
