Configuration Management Expert - Hardware Items Focus

Are you are a Configuration Management (CM) expert from a hardware engineering and hardware items perspective?  Interested in working with a team of top class engineers within one of the world's top defenders of freedom?  If you have real experience in the management and control of configurations and baselines, ensuring complete traceability of changes through a documented change management process, read on!
In this role, your skills will be focused on Hardware Configuration Items (HWCIs), where you can easily perform configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting, data management, product release and delivery, and configuration audits. You will track and process hardware drawings and engineering change notices.
You should be comfortable working to Facilitate Configuration Change Control Boards, and in providing CM assessments and inputs to engineering change requests.
Your primary focus will be to create and improve CM processes for Hardware Configuration Management.
Here are some specific things you'll be doing...
  • Developing and implementing Configuration Management principles, processes and training, such as configuration control, identification, data management (library/repository), product release and delivery, and configuration audits.
  • Ensuring that all required deliverable and non-deliverable contract data are properly identified, scheduled, marked, reviewed, approved, submitted, and accepted.
  • Ensuring that all program-related information is effectively stored and controlled throughout the contract lifecycle, including digital files and work products.
  • Collaborating across the Program Management Office (PMO) to proactively manage CM risks, opportunities, and overall deliverables.
  • Working with all engineering disciplines and program management.
  • Being a flexible team player with the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks in a diverse environment.

We need you to be self driven and immediately productive. It will take these things in your background for that to happen 
  • You MUST be a US Citizen.
  • You MUST have an Active TS/SCI DoD Clearance.
  • 6 years of experience applying Configuration and Data Management principles
  • Bachelor degree
  • Experience implementing Configuration Management principles, processes and training, such as configuration control, identification, data management (library/repository), product release and delivery, and configuration audits
  • Strong analysis skills: Ability to evaluate the current environment, gather needs, and propose a recommended CM solution
  • Experience with Microsoft office tools advanced features: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

  • Experience with Hardware Configuration Management environments and processes
  • Experience working with CMMI and ISO 9000 CM requirements
  • Experience with CM tools applicable to Product Data Management and Data Management
  • Certifications from either NDIA or CMII in Configuration Management
