Qualifications:
Immediate opening for a LINUX Systems Administrator in San Antonio, Texas
 
Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Red Hat LINUX command level administration
  • Troubleshooting of associated hardware/software
  • Create, track and resolve helpdesk action items
  • Maintain the security and stability of cross domain enterprise level solutions
  • Provide detailed technical solutions
  • Build, install, move and or break-down systems on-site or remotely
  • Create detailed technical reports and metrics
  • Interact with customers and support personnel at off-site data centers
  • Create, modify, and remove user accounts
  • Be familiar with Linux audit and reporting tasks
  • Command level Database troubleshooting, including SQLite, skills highly desirable
  • Must be able to perform scheduled and unscheduled fly away support
  • High Assurance Control Interface administration
 
The successful LINUX Systems Administrator must have:
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX/LINUX
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • Networking experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Responsive Help Desk experience
  • Microsoft Office product experience
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Perl and Shell Scripting experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • HP Hardware experience to include DL systems and SANs
  • Data Center experience
  • Cross Domain device experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a specialized area; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
 
Applicants must meet DoD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-II or higher
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time CONUS and OCONUS, scheduled and unscheduled with short notice
  • Must be able to support rotating morning shifts (8 AM–5 PM and 6AM – 3PM)
Clearance Requirements:
  • Minimum of an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph within a reasonable amount of time after hire, with acceptable timing determined by manager.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
