Linux System Admin + TS/SCI w/Poly
Location: Pasadena, CA 91101
Duration: Potential Multi-Year contract
Pay Rate: OPEN (depends on experience)
You MUST be a US Citizen.
You MUST have an Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
You are a Systems Administrator with experience working with Linux systems (especially RedHat and RedHat-derived systems) in a mid- to large-size project environment. You are able to handle end user desktop support, front-line support, and can develop scripts, too.
You know how to work in a Secure Facility, Secure Networks, and Secure Computing world, and you know how to apply and use security-related requirements for all computing needs.
There are a some things in your background that are critical for you to get started...
  • US Citizen
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 4 years of Linux Systems Admin experience, including software development, user desktop support, and front-line support on mid- to large-size projects.
  • Systems Admin Support Level 2-3 (Based on years of experience, education, training, etc.)
  • Very good understanding of the Linux (especially RedHat or derivatives) and practical experience supporting Linux in a work environment.
  • Knowledge of Containerization on Linux (i.e Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience working with Virtualization (WMware, Oracle)
  • Exposure and knowledge of Cloud based solutions (AWS, Azure)
  • Understand and able to troubleshoot Networking (CISCO, Juniper)
  • Experience with supporting Windows Platforms
  • Able to script in shell or other interpreted language.
  • Experience supporting Information Assurance (IA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) cybersecurity requirements implementation.
  • DoD 8570 Tier II Technical Cert that is current (such as Security+ CE)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment consisting of both internal and external members, co-workers and customers.
  • Experience using DoD Security Technology implementation Guides (STIGS) highly desired.
  • Familiarity working in Cleared environments
  • Additional IT certifications is a plus
  • Knowledge of Jenkins
  • Experience working with Jira
  • Knowledge of DevOps processes (i.e. toolchain workflow automation)
  • Knowledge of CM tools (i.e. Docker, Salt, Git)
  • Knowledge of SeLinux
  • Experience performing vulnerability scanning and remediation techniques.
