Mechanical Design Engineer #  3780 
Location: Sterling Heights, MI   
Duration: 5 months 
Pay: $38-$43 DOE  
 
In this role, you will lead the integration of vehicle electronics onto the vehicle platform. Typical components could include rack systems, display mounts, and lighting mounting. You should be familiar with methods to isolate sensitive electronics from vibration, electronics cooling, and various types of mounts used in military tracked vehicles. You will have responsibility to update and release design changes using PTC CREO 4.0, and completing all related design change processes.
  • Develop designs to meet provided requirements
  • Incorporation of design revisions
  • Participate in design and process review
  • Support resolution of test incident reports
  • Interface with senior members of integrated product team to status issues
Required Skills:
  • 2+ years of packaging components into a defined space claim
  • Experience in selecting appropriate vibration isolation components
  • Clear communication, written and verbal
  • Able to be in and around military vehicles
  • Understanding of and ability to apply GD&T to drawings
  • Experience analyzing bolted joints
Skills Preferred
  • Experience with PTC CREO 4.0 (>2 yrs) creating models and drawings
  • Familiar with military vehicles
Experience Required
  • 3 years minimum experience in related engineering field
Education Required
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
Additional Information Must be US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
NOTE: AGAIN - MUST BE US CITIZEN to be eligible for this position. There is no relocation or expense package offered for this position. Rates are all inclusive W2 hourly wages. No 1099, No third parties, no C2C
